Why is it that the moment clean water runs out the game ends? People can actually go a few days without water they are not fish, this is even worse with food considering how rare food is and how if people go 1 hour without a snack the game ends. On top of that there are unfun mechanics, facilities with 0 parts in them, the RNG needing to find two distinct hulls with the same facility in it with at least 3 parts between them. The game has a problem with being utterly unable to mitigate playing to the RNG, you are just constantly rolling dice every run and while it can go in your favour it also can just screw you. I mean, honestly? Martial law and anyone not obeying gets thrown into the brig. once you get the void engine - hey, you are now going to have 10 days of constantly getting bad events, oxygen leaks, explosions, warehouse fires, wastewater leakages just to see if you have living quarters >75 to have you survive. And once you have some decent set up, trying to find CO2 scrubbers - fugetabutit, apparently the ships only happen to need oxygen after the event.Īnd esp. I mean - everyone likes the industrial module with 3 CO2 scrubbers 0/3, wastewater 0/3 and 1/3 Calorie Synth. Later in the game you won't even find modules with industry on it. The further you are in the game, the better you do - the less likely you are going to get positive events, industry, resources and the more likely you are getting negative events, morale hits or unwanted shuttles forcing you to get people on board. I have the feeling that we're not only dealing with RNG - but with *weighted* RNG. RNG whether something descent shows up on the list, RNG on whether or not you can even get what you traveled to, then RNG about what's at the place you traveled to, and RNG for the various 'events' that happen that destroy you either by screwing over your morale or wasting resources.
